Change to Champlain Authentication System

On January 5th, our portal login page will be changed to use Google Authentication. This change offers increased security and convenience to the way you log in to Champlain College services and is a stepping stone to enabling two factor authentication for many of our services.

This is a Single Sign On system, so once you provide your Champlain College credentials for one service, you’ll be able to access other Champlain systems without logging in again.

Once this change is made on January 5th, the login box on the portal pages will look like this:

Please note that all Faculty and Staff will be required to use Google Authentication. The  “Use Google for Sign-In” is only for students. If a faculty or staff member unchecks this box, you will still be directed to a Google sign-on page.

  • Once you click on the “Sign in with Google” button, you will be redirected to a standard Google login page as shown below.

  • Be sure to use your Champlain College username (your email address) and password and not your personal Google username and password.

  • If you’re already logged into your personal Google account, you may need to either log out or use Incognito Mode before logging in using your Champlain Google account.
